A mate of mine is having trouble getting music and video onto his, and would like some help. He has asked if I will go around and try to help him with it, but some info on how to get stuff on there beforehand would help greatly. How on earth do you get video onto them? Can you rip them from DVD? Do you have to resize them or something, so they will play on its small screen?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

You need OS X 10.4 Tiger to download video onto an iPod. I take it your mate has a Mac ?

You need a convertor to put it the ipod, search for DVDto Ipod in google for info and if you want to get the software try searching in torrentspy.com or another torrent site.

Do you need a converter still?

I have got a converter (PSP Video 9) that transposes mpeg and avi to the MPEG-4 format that they use on the ipod, I use it to transpose mpeg and avi to my psp.

It worked on my daughters IPOD.
