trying to sell my house but, like many others, I'm not having much luck....
so I've decided to rent it out - I've got tenants-in-waiting, they just need my go-ahead to move it.
but I need advice re tax payments/implications/responsibilities in particular, plus advice as to where I can get my fire certificate and electrical check (and anything else!!?)
any advice re renting welcomed, please PM.
TIA

good stuff - cheers!! will check it out when I get home...
you going to quiz tomorrow night? might bob up for an hour....

RE: good stuff - cheers!!
Funny you should ask that, I've just suggestedyou doin the mail I sent. We can have a proper chat about letting.

get an estate agent to look after it for you. i know they charge but they vet the people going in and collect the rent. it saves you all the hassle and well worth it.. good luck.
yep.. that's one option... only thing is, they're rob dogs!!
long story, but I've got a couple of tenants lined up, they're friends of friends so don't anticipate any problems.... but!!
cheers for the luck, I probably need it....

used jubbs, for 4 years. can't grumble at all. they took 10% of the rent but looked after the property brilliantly. they even cleaned it when a tennant moved out. barely heard from them in 4 years. as for tax i think it depends on your tax bracket etc.
It was all a very long time ago, and I no longer own a house, having resorted to living in a box on the docks
