I don't

    Not for Satruday, but I think we may find him making a surprise appearance off the bench in the nextfew weeks, its Davey's style.

    'Course he has

    Have you not witnessed the complex mind games he employs? Has the best managers inthe league chasing shadows so he does.

    RE: 'Course he has

    The only complex mind games that Davey employs is to brainwash some of our fans into thinking he's any good.

    Davey = moron. IMO.

    I think these personal insults are getting a bit much

    Yes, I know I just questioned his style, but I was only having a laugh. Calling him a moron does neither him nor you any credit. I know you don't rate him as a manager (I'm not convinced either as it goes) but lets put an end to the childish name calling.

    Been the norm ever since I was young. Player/manager who is deemed not good enough ends up being subjected to all sorts of personal abuse. After a while it MUST have a negative affect

    He's taking you all for a ride and you're letting him get away with it.

    No he's not

    He's managing the club to the best of his ability. It may turn out that his best isn't good enough, but his only desire is for Barnsley to do well and that is what he is working hard to achieve. I'm not convinced he's got what it takes, but he certainly hasn't been the failure you're painting him as. The primary aim of the last two seasons has been to retain our Championship status and he has achieved that. That is success not failure. The owner of our club has stated in the press that he would like further progression this season and a mid-table finish rather than a relegation scrap and I think we'd all like to see that. We haven't started well, but those aspirations are certainly not dead in the water. A mid-table finish is still well within our grasp. Three losses at the start of the season does not preclude us from automatic promotion never mind a solid mid-table finish. If our poor form continues then Simon Davey's job will rightly come into question, but talk of sacking him now is madness in my opinion. You may think our results won't pick up, but you don't know that, it's just your opinion. At this moment in time Simon Davey has the job and we should all support him in that role. That's not to say you can't question his tactics or signings, that's what this board is for, but asking for his head and calling him names is counter productive in my opinion.
