Anyone got 'This is Football 2005' on the PS2?

How on earth do you take penalties?!

Wherever I stop the bar that goes up or down it fires it straight over the bar, any ideas? ff

 

Switch your main penalty taker to one with a high shot power rating, this should slow the gauge down a bit. Then it's all in the timing mate, hit the shot botton when the bar is right in the middle of the gauge and press down (centre, left or right) on the controller direction pad. you should have a bit more success using that method! Good luck mate.

I'm not too bad at TIF I'll have to challenge you to a game sometime. Was hoping for a TIF2006 but that hasn't materialised unfortunately. Bah!

 

How do you switch your taker? So you've to aim for the middle of the gauge - I see

To switch penalty taker - On the team management screen you'll see the edit line up box, scroll across untill you see edit player roles, press X then go down to penalty, press X again & you'll be shown your starting XI, just swap players by selecting which pen taker you want and pressing X again. Then Use triangle to exit player role menu. Jobs a good un!
