Anyone had IV sedation at the Dentists? Going tommorow and petrified

    as i have a phobia of dentists, i remember going in, but never remember coming out.. i usually wake up in my bed a few hours later lol

    Thanks for that Ady. So you're totally out of it and don't know what's going on? I'm also having it because of a phobia, used to be able to manage it but got worse over last year so opted for this. Bloody expensive though. Mexborough who used to do it on the NHS no longer have the funding to do it. So having to pay £150 private and treatment on top.

    Yes, totally out of it, i've had it done 3 times now and each time i wake up in my bed.

    Excellent, i'll go then. Sorry for all the questions but one more. Do they put the needle in the back of your hand or inside of your elbow?
