SuperTyke was very attached his, bless. http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?173930-What-do-you-buy-as-a-christening-present/page2 Don't hold back.... One of my favourite things from when I was a child is a teddy that I took to bed with me, I still have it now somewhere (I dont take it to bed with me anymore obviously). Everybody remembers their favourite teddy bear so something like that might be worth looking at. Not just an ordinary one that will be lost amongst the others and thrown out though, something a bit special or different. Mine played a lullaby to help me get to sleep, someone else I know had their favourite because it was just the right size and cuddlyness to take to bed without it being overpowering or easily lost.
Re: I've got to say... No, but I had a golliwog with black fur for hair, a blue jacket with thin red stripes and blue trousers. Big white eyes with large black pupils. I think that someone was trying to frighten me at an early age.
Re: I've got to say... i had a really sh*t one, no cuddle factor at all. very cheap too, think we picked it up from Rochdale car boot. safe to say i loaned another from a family member, but it got recalled after only 3 naps.
I had one called Melody. Mario had one too, can't remember its name though. Ours were more for fighting with rather than cuddling though. Boys will be boys.
Re: I've got to say... Ignore. That one flew right over my head until I'd made exactly the same joke in response to it!
Re: I've got to say... I had two, they were only small ones(still have them somewhere) they were called Neighbours and Home and away! Me and my Sister also had a 3ft dog named "Uncle Tony dog" because it was a present from our Uncle Tony(!) who unfortunately passed away after a very short battle with cancer 10 years ago.
Re: I've got to say... I know, I was expecting a bit more blood. Turns out we're a forum of Teddy bear Lovers. I still have a lesbian cow with dungarees called Clarabelle and I suspect, quite collectable Bert & Ernie dolls - whose sexuality has also often been the subject of some debate. Got a works day out in Brighton next week n'all. Anyway. I'm just off to give Mrs C one....
I had one that when you bent it over it use to make a growling sound but my parents obviously didn't think that one thru cos I spent my early years continually trying to bend my teddy over,
