I'm trying to get sponsors for every race at the Disport Junior Athletics Final in Leeds in June.(Athletes with a learning Disability) I'm not expecting help from individuals - just organisations who would be willing to sponsor a race at £10 a go (to get their name in the programme), or events e.g all 100m races @ £40, Listed on several pages) or a small advert @£50. Basically it's a cheap way for local businesses to reach a Region wide audience of 50+ Special Schools, their pupils (aged 9-19), their parents, and also VIPS attending the event. We'll be producing hundreds of programmes so it should go far & wide. I have been put in charge of recruiting sponsors from SY based organisations & am keen to show the other staff here how it's done... come on you can spare a tenner!! Cheers for reading this far. Goodluck with drumming up support ..... .... it's an event worth supporting.</p> I'll be there today, all being well, for the qualifying stages at the Keepmoat, Doncaster, mainly to watch my youngest son. </p> He and his friends that attend Greenacre school, really look forward to participating, has do all the others, involved. It gives them a chance togain a sense of achievement.</p>
Just got back from Keepmoat My face is burning, but in spite of the early hitches (the stand not big enough!!), it went ok. Hope your son enjoyed it. Results should be with the schools in the next few days. Top 2 in each event qualify for Final.
