got a letter today telling me that my contribution Employment and Support has ended . seems maximum is now 365 days, problem is they make no reference to any other replacement or payment to replace it.

Has anyone come across this , I have had medicals but the illness is a known disease that is long term and progressive and not a bad back or duff knee that may get better so they just keep telling me there's nothing to worry about.

I have a small private pension but as I pay full rent rates etc this just covers my bills and not even leaves anything for food etc, so what Happens now. If someone works for dhss I would appreciate a little help. I know I cN Find out Monday but I worry already.

    cheers

https://www.gov.uk/benefits-adviserWhat other benefits can people claim when their
    contribution-based Employment and Support
    Allowance ends?
Only claimants who have alternative resources available to them will not
qualify for income-related Employment and Support Allowance. Alternative
resources could be things like savings, private pensions, works pensions etc.
If a claimant believes they do not have other sources of income they should
submit a claim for income-related benefit.
People who do not qualify for income-related Employment and Support
Allowance after their time-limited contribution-based Employment and Support
Allowance ends will still be able to receive National Insurance credits so they
can maintain their National Insurance contribution record and access the
support offered from the Work Programme. Depending on their circumstances
they may also be able to claim other benefits, however, any benefit
entitlement will depend on individual circumstances.

The Benefits Adviser Online can be used to check entitlement to other
    benefits

In laymans terms when ESAC is exhausted you can apply for income based ESA which is means tested. You don't qualify if you have more than £16, 000 in savings and qualify for less if you have any savings between £6,000 and £16,000. If you have a partner there income and savings is taken into account.
