I've registered for my free month and was very disappointed with the selection. You can get the first month free though, so you might as well have a look.

We trialled Netflix and Lovefilm for the free months. Binned Netflix due to terrible selection (better PQ though) and struggled on with Lovefilm streaming for while, before realising that was bobbins too. Just really old stuff on there. Useful if you're away on hols and want something on the lappy other than bongo vids. Went back to Blockbuster online rental, £9.99 a month for unlimited blurays and games. Post discs back and the next ones come the day after next.

Mate of mine uses it, but he's not bowled over by it. Says the selection is poor, he was watching a film series other week, (can't remember which), and he could watch the first 3 but they didn't have the 4th one of the series, despite it being out 3 years. He just watches old episodes of South Park on it now for some reason.

Ive got it - and frankly for £6 a month you can't knock it - yes it hasn't got all the latest and greatest stuff but there's plenty of selection on there, and i guess the only way its going to get more content is to get more subscribers, no price increases following the free trial, just the £6 a month.

If you haven't watched the TV series Breaking Bad - i would highly recommend it!

Love Film is better IMO. It has a significantly bigger catalogue of films but it probably isn't quite as good on the selection of TV series.

We trialled it having the sky packages and Apple TV. It works well in terms of streaming and access from other apps i.e iPad, PC etc worked very well. Films are in HD which i think LoveFilm is SD. The problem i had was that the movies were all dated and everything almost we have seem numerous occasions. Very few new releases and the catalogue never seemed to grow or develop. They have a decent back catalogue of TV shows, if your into that. But eventually we dropped it due to the lack of new films. We cancelled the subscription after a few months without any hassle.

Thanks everyone, that's saved me wasting my time. Think I'll just buy the DVDs, or download direct from iTunes.

If you're happy actually having a DVD instead of streaming live on the net then i'd personally recommend love film. Their selection of DVDs is quite good and their service is excellent.

Use this link and put in the code WHS4T to get a 30 day free trial and 4 free cinema tickets (if you decide to carry on).

It's a no brainer really, if you dont like it in the first 30 days just cancel, if you do like it keep going. If you do a free trial though I recommend you choose the most expensive setting that it allows you because you're getting more for free then and just reduce the package down when the trial ends.
