Virgin are offering me a Samsung Galaxy Ace or Fame for £10 a month 2yr contract 600 mins(I don't use that many ) 1Gb internet(not likely to get anywhere near that free txts and calls to Virgin mobiles is that a good deal or are there any better ones out there for a tenner?
500 free txts..which is enough for me What I was wondering was if there's a better phone for the money anywhere else...theres more than enough minutes and texts for me
It's much cheaper to have no friends, phone not required. Not sure why I have so many friends, I'm a right miserable tw@t
Plenty of good free phones for £15 month with unlimited everything. Unlimited data best especially as more messages sent via Whatsapp than SMS these days.
Don't get a Samsung Galaxy Ace know someone who has had so many problems with charging and connection/network issues
I've got a much better phone than that that you can have for £100 (HTC Sensation XE, fantastic condition) then get yourself signed up to Ovivo Mobile. One off fee of £15, then for that you get 150 minutes, 250 texts and 500mb internet free every month! Dad has just signed up to that as he's only a very light user. Your deal would cost £240 for 2 years, my way would cost £115 for 2 years. No brainer ;-)
Would have been a no brainer, but they've shut. Took your advice, bought me mam a phone and bought her one of those Ovivo sims. She phoned me this morning (on land line) complaining it wasn't working, so before I went round to sort it out I checked the web to see if the network was down or owt, but they've just shut down. The end, no more, it is an ex-parrot. Not your fault mate, I know, but it's going to be a pain in the arse for her to tell everyone she has a new number, particularly as she hasn't had this one all that long (bought it for her birthday in September). When summat sounds too good to be true, it often is, and it looks like this was one of those cases.
carphone warehouse has that Samsung galaxy fame phone 2 years 500 mins, unlimited txts 250mb data and a free galaxy tab 3 7" tablet for £11.99/month
Christ, that's a decent bump mate Don't remind me, dad got one and had a load of use out of it. Get her PAC code and transfer that to a new sim from elsewhere - that's what mi dad is currently on with. Was pretty much always destined to fail, but lasted much longer than most people expected. With a business model like that it was always going to go eventually. This is possibly the next best thing for a light user http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-3-payg-321-sim-card-alternative-ovivo-three-1858133 Sorry that you've had this inconvenience mate.
I bought one of their SIM cards just over a week ago. Got the new phone unlocked, inserted SIM, called the wife so she had the new number. 10 mins later, tried to send out a text with new number and it didn't work because they'd closed the network down!
Like I said mate, it's not your fault. Don't think I'll bother with the PAC thing as there's a warning it could take bloody ages. Still had the original credit on the SIM, bet I won't get that back.
No chance mate unfortunately, that's long gone. I'm assuming one of the main advertisers has pulled the plug on them. Most ads could be bypassed very easily, and when using apps like Facebook or Candycrush they never came up at all. As I say, completely unsustainable business model, but great for the people that took advantage when they did. KFC that is just very very unlucky indeed.
Sorry if that was down to my post recommending them! How did you pay? You may be able to reclaim the money via Visa/Mastercard/AMEX chargeback rules: http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/how-do-i-use-chargeback or via a PayPal dispute if you paid that way.
It wasn't mate, I'd seen them recommended plenty of times elsewhere. If owt I'll blame my Dad, as he'd got one a few months earlier. Have seen chargeback referred to on moneysavingexpert - had never heard of that before but will give it a try, cheers.
