    same thing happened to mine mate, took it to a electrical repair shop in town and they said sony were the best bet, but you have to pay for delivery to them even if they cannot fix it, then if they can the parts and delivery back. in other words he told me it was cheaper to buy a brand new one

    on wellgate, easy to spot reet across from co-op or some such shop darn there, fixed mine wi same problem in a day.</p>

    i would think it would be cheaper to get a new one or a second hand one at least. though if it can be fixed cheap worth a look.

    I've got a troubleshooter guide with photos and videos if you want to have a go at mending it yourself. Only a small programe so i could up it to one of the newsgroups, if you have access.

    go on then, abwuk do for me or let me know which one
    ive got 2 ps2, the one thats bust is the chipped,and the lads bugging me for some games, i could just take the good un out of one and pop into the chipped one
