I know you are only allowed so many per match squad, but how many can a team loan in a season. I seem to remember when Blackpool got promoted they had quite a few that year and a lad at work reckons that there is a limit to how many you can have now. Thanks.
Now there is a question! Is it something like 3 season long loans and then a futher 5 short loans...................
You try to understand it http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20110629/section-6-players_2293633_2125731#50
No there is 100% a limit! Not sure but like I said it is some like 3 season long loan signings along with up to 5 short term loans (6 months and less)
section 53.1.3 So if I read that right , you can have 4 players over 23 and 4 players under 23 on "standard loans", but only 2 over 23 from the same club, each season. Players that sign full time after the loan do not count in the figures. Then you have emergency loans to add.
Good point. Tommy Tyke must love it when a player gets injured after he knows we've already had 4 over 23's
Looks like it checks out. This season so far... Over 23: Tonge Addison Under 23: Smith Drinkwater Park Ranger Last season... Over 23: Harewood Hayes McShane O'Connor Under 23: Arismendi Nouble Trippier Wood
So Hill is after an over 23 player to loan then! I thought we had a lot more loans last season than this season, but it seems its only 2 , weird!!!
He did not count as we signed him on a permanant contract, even though it was only till end of season and O`Connor too.
And as they were both then signed on permanant contracts they dont count in your loan stats. Fooking daft if you ask me, they were loans but they dont count after.
Ohhh, I see. I get you now. And yes, fooking daft. But thats nowt new with football and its governance
Can anyone explain how we've managed to sign 5 players under 23 on loan this season? I read the rules to say that the maximum is four and that as far as I can tell is the limit we've operated to in the past.
