    I can. Blackpool away, Futcher missed the vital penalty. Always a great idea having the guy who has never scored a goal for you taking the 5th penalty. Isn't it David Batty?

    First one I ever saw was Lincoln in the league cup. Derek Bell and all that.

    October '89. We played in a really dark blue kit. Unfortunately the floodlights at Bloomfield Road weren't up to much and our kit looked black. The ref also wore black. We passed the ball to the ref more often than we did to our own players.

    First match that Archdeacon looked like he could actually play a bit.

    I miss players like Archdeacon quiet unassuming reasonably technically gifted that stay with us for years and grow as players. Beautiful left foot when on song.

    I'm pretty sure we lost a shoot out at home to Darlington or someone around the time of the Blackpool loss. Could be wrong cos I've been asleep since then.

    Lost to Grimsby in the League Cup on penalties

    In the same season (1992/93) when we beat Leicester in the FA Cup by the same manner. A young Andy Liddell missed the important spot kick.

    Think we beat Wednesday on pens in he Zenith Data Systems cup in 90/91(?), also got a feeling we lost to Millwall or someone in the same competition a season or 2 before. I may be wrong though.

    I remember that game, a couple of scorching goals from young Julian Joachim and Owen Archdeacon to equalise. I think it was Mark Robinson who scored the clincher and got piled on by the rest of the team, Lee Butler in goal I think too. :D

    I'm sure we beat the Massives in some tin-pot layland paints type cup in the 80s and definitely Leicester in the FA Cup in the 90s, then there was the play-off final against Swansea. Can't think of any more at the moment.
