    It gets a mention in 'The Road to Wigan Pier' by George Orwell you know. He berated the council for extrvagent spending on its town hall when the housing in the town was a disgrace. Nothing changes. On a positive note Sheffield comes in for an even bigger slagging off.

    And the was no pier left when he got there the dozy pillock.
