I think it was in the first half. We had the ball and the ref stopped the game for an injury then instructed us to kick the ball to them. Even our player that had the bal from the 'drop ball' didn't look like he wanted to give it to them.
Because the ref told us to, even though we had the ball when play was stopped. How can the ref instruct a team to give the ball to the opposition from a dropball anyway - it should be up to the 2 teams, if they want to contest the drop ball then they should.
That's my point though, it isn't up to the ref. He can't tell players where to kick the ball once it's in play and as soon as he dropped the ball and we touched it it was in play so why did our player take advice on where to kick the ball from the referee? He wouldn't take his advice on whether to pass or shoot from just outside the box would he.
