Not sure you'll get odds on that alone. Would need to be next Championship manager to leave.

3 year deal hasn't he? I hope we've agreed a payoff fee before we appointed him or it will be costly. Can't see him lasting much longer unless we improve dramatically. 16-1 looks good for next to go.

I suppose you could argue that the club banked a load of compensation money from the previous two departures, so some of that can go to pay Markus off, if it comes to that.

Didn't we have to pay compo for markus to come here? I think they will be reluctant to get rid so early that said they didn't mess about getting shut of stendel and he had just got us promoted from league one and had key players sold from underneath him.

Depends how you look at it. Rooney could leave that basket case at any point and Warnock and McCann are under real pressure. Not worth a flutter just yet in my opinion.

Can't see Rooney leaving personally. He's in a no lose situation. Keep them up he's done well, get relegated, not his fault.

Might not have a choice though is my point. Anything could happen there from not fulfilling fixtures, everyone being made redundant, etc.

Looking at it that way then I agree. However, that isn't the way you worded it originally

And in the meantime he increases his standing by not looking like someone who throws in the towel.

I said he could leave at any point and the club is a basket case. Didn't realise I needed to be more explicit than that.

"Rooney could leave that basket case at any point"

Is different to me than "being made redundant"

One is a personal choice the other isn't

Jeez. Saying someone could leave somewhere at any point, under a betting market called 'Next Championship Manager to Leave', pretty much means that. Either through choice or not.

Surely we're not there yet? I can't say that I'm impressed so far, but we're 9 games in. We've had visa issues along with injuries, suspensions and COVID. Not to mention we're going for a complete change in style of play to last season.

I know the owners sacked Stendel from their French club, but didn't he lose 8 games in a row?

And to think we got rid of Stendal, at least he believed and made the fans believe, I have noticed with schopp he never seems to admit making a mistake, mind you he hasn't made a right decision yet

That’s the most worrying thing for me, Ringo. He takes no responsibility but places it fully on young players, the youngest in the championship - he’s lost me after that - anyone worth their salt would take such pressure from young players, not heap it on to absolve himself

Hasn't stendal just been sacked for 0 wins in 10 at Nancy we've got schopp who has 1 win in 10 thank to a last minute penalty save.
