What a strange signing that was. Signed the lad on loan, albeit financially beneficial to Port Vale. Sign him on a permanent deal in the summer, then not play him at all, not even warming the bench?

The few times I saw him play last season, I thought he looked pretty steady, and would probably improve with game time, seen as though he was only just making the step up to this level.

Only 24 so got plenty of time left to prove himself, best of luck to him, but I reckon he got a bit of a raw deal here.

Waste of money signing him and now we've had to waste even more money paying him off. Dunno why he didn't get more games. Played well for us in the few games he got a chance in. Went to Shrewsbury and did well there being involved in quite a few clean sheets during his loan period.

Another wonder signing from the berk. It didn't take him long to realise that he didn't rate him but I would be surprised if he wasn't at least as good as McNulty.

How do we know, we never saw anything of him. I thought he had potential. Tall, mobile, could head a ball, versatile he could play anywhere along the back line.

Seems a strange decision to sign him, get him fit, then loan him out and not play him despite some of the defensive displays we turned out in October and November.
