if you pay £30 quid you are being robbed.
i finally had enough of them after 2 years, so rang them up to quit. i told them that their sevice was useless and too expensive. So the cheeky Barstewards offered me platinum broadband for £9.99 a month in order to stay with them.
the robbing Barstewards, i mean, if they can offer it for a tenner a month just like that, why cant they do it all the time???
anyway, what im trying to get at is that if you have AOL broadband and areHAPPY with it, it really is worth ringing them up and telling them you want to quit. theres a saving of £20 quid a month to be had (£240 a year).
and before you say it doesnt work. . . one of my mates has just done it today and he will now be paying £10 for broadband and they even threw in free weekend calls or summat for only a few quid extra. so its well worth it.
me however, i will not touch them again with a barge pole.

RE: Orange Did the same thing with Orange... Paying £22.99 a month, phoned to say I was leaving and they gave me the top package for £10.99.
Another good one is Sky TV. Phone and say you want to cancel and you tend to get top package free for 3 months!

RE: Orange I know someone who tried it with Sky, they ended up cancelling him without offering owt and he didn't really want to cancel! Sort of thing that would happen to me!
can only agree !! . . i used to pay around £18 for there cheap broadband ... rang up and said i was thinkin of leaving .. offered me a free month then £10 a month for 12 months straight away without any questions or argument ! make syou wonder how much dosh they earn in the first place as aol is way overpriced!!
The thing with that though is.... if you weren't getting any discounts previously, you can call them straight back and have your services switched back on.
My dad didnt want to quit Sky either, but wanted Sky+ at a reasonable price. Said "ok, put me through to cancellations then". He said he wanted to quit unless he got the box for £49 and free installation, like a lot of other people I know, and hey presto - £49 and free installation!

You won't be surprised to know that Orange Is the worst Broadband provider on the BBC 50,000 survey 'Rock Bottom' One bloke been off for 30 odd days and they want a cancellation fee :'( :'( :'(
with sky they don't cancel your subscription for a month you can ring up the next day and say you've changed your mind
