I'm wanting to know if there's a timescale as to when you have to complete your 32 hours for the NPPL or 45 hours for your PPL, or whether or not a mandatory number of hours needs to be flown each year.
i believe you have to fly so many hours per year to keep current on type, same with night and instruments but i could be wrong. just phone the C.A.A.
Save me going through this 480 page document! http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP393.pdf a bit clearer with this document.. http://www.nationalprivatepilotslicence.co.uk/faq.php
'No timescale to get the licence, the written exams have an expiry when you've passed them, don't remember what that is off hand. For PPL and NPPL you have to do 12 hours every 2 years inc 1 hour with an instructor'. To quote a Leg End; Hope this helps.
Cheers Pete, very useful. I'm having a trial flight with a view to doing my NPPL, spreading the costs over the years and it isn't that expensive.
