Signed up, entered my viewing card number and still seems to want me to upgrade....as a Sky subscriber it supposed to allow you to watch
I use it, I can watch films and a few other things.
The multi room thing is to enable you to watch live TV I think
By the way, do you have the newest media player? it's needed for it to work. I had 4od and it wouldn't work, it was because I hadn't got the newest media player. Not much else I can suggest though I'm afraid

Just one thing Eastie Before updating media player - the newest media player will make DRM removal more difficult (if not impossible). We have more chance with older versions. So if you want to remove DRM from those WMA files you mention in another thread, do that BEFORE updating your media player.
RE: Just one thing Eastie Why is the newest media player so terrible?! I seem to have massive problems with adding things to my library, in so much as it seems to pick and choose what it wants to add. I can play 5 albums via media player, and it might only add one album. Plus for some reason it doesn't seem to pick up the cd information when I rip any CDs I buy these days, but no idea why.
I'd love to be able to use 4od/sky player with the old media player, so much better

It's not that It comes up with "upgrade" as though it doesn't recognise my number, and I did find that it was the live sport that required multiroom....not the on demand
RE: Virgin kicks Sky's ass. nt Apart from less channels and virtually no HD, no interactive on the Sky Sports channels, no ESPN America Extra Sorry....Virgin may be decent but they do not meet my requirements I hope they've improved their boxes from when I had one before - was always locking up
You might be onto something there As my ISP is Virgin! But the error does not suggest that, it's just saying upgrade and seems to want me to subscribe, it's as though it's not recognising my viewing card number as being subscribed to the package I have.
RE: You might be onto something there If your ISP is Virgin surely a TV package with them, or alternatively changing ISP to Sky would be more cost-effective. I get free internet with my sky package, and I've never had a problem with bandwidth or the amount I'm downloading etc.
I have to admit, as someone who only has the basic package, I'm beginning to wonder whether jumping ship to Virgin would be better as their on-demand service is far far better than Skys.

RE: You might be onto something there I'd have to switch phone line from Virgin first to get ISP with Sky. I like Virgin broadband though - probably best there is. I prefer Sky for TV though.
Actually, it can't be to do with firewall As the completely free stuff such as Sky Travel works fine, just ones that require subscription....it's just not recognising the level of subscription from viewing card number - I've emailed them.
