Washing machine died on Thursday so rather than trail round the electrical shops when you don't get any benefit from looking at washing machines (not like with a telly where you can see them working) decided to order online instead. Seems ok - ordered, got delivery date sorted and arranged for them to take the old one away. Just wondered if anyone else had used them
Yep No problems. Also used the comet clearance auctions to buy a cooker. There was some confusion then as the cooker was in Essex. Somebody at the delivery firm made an error on a form and put the county as Stirlingshire not South Yorkshire. So they shipped it to the Glasgow depot and then rang to ask where Barnsley was ! A couple of weeks went by. I rang Comet who said I would have it in 7 days or they would refund me. They then delivered it on a Tuesday morning a few weeks later. On the Friday when I got home from work I had an answerphone from the delivery firm, saying they couldn't deliver my cooker as they had lost it! I rang Comet but before I could explain they processed the refund! Who was I to argue?
Ordered washing machine off them last year by the internet, no problem whatsoever, delivered free but had just to couple it up myself.
Co-op Electrical website worth a look too ... Mate of mine has had new washer and freezer off them recently. VHe was very impressed with prices and flexible delivery times http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/
