I was at first, then I wasn't, but now I am again!

Firstly it looked great, seemed to play great etc. Then I noticed the jerky replays, and slow-down when it got into a crowded penalty area. But then I went into the settings, disabled stadium effects, and then it seemed to work a lot better. Not much slowdown since then. I think the commentary is really good - the best i've known in a footy game. Jon Champion does a good job, and Mark Lawrenson chirps up every so often too.

Overall, i'm happier now than I was an hour ago before I turned off the stadium effects.

    RE: Sounds promising

Got mine today, Xbox 360 - absolutely fantastic. Had a dabble as Spain earlier, scored a right goal with Villa, flat ball across the box - came running in and cooly side footed it into the top corner.

    Highly recommended,

I've played Fifa 2008 aswell, i must say - ive never really been a fan of the FIFA franchise, but this years is mightily impressive. The only thing that stops it from being as good as PES 2008 is the fact that it's still fairly easy to score. But it's still a very good game.

RE: Anyone got it on the 360?

Heard loads of negative reviews for the 360, especially the online play. Freezes, major lag, etc.

I played the demo over the weekend

Really enjoyed it, but of course it didn't give much away - only 5 minute games, and only a few teams to choose from

Just bought it today mate. First impressions are good. But wouldnt say that it was absolutely fantastic. Still a good game. Cant compare it to FIFA cos i ant played it but from what ive heard FIFA is terrible.

i've got it on the 360

and its a lot better than pes6 on the 360. Still things missing like being able to choose kits for master league games which can be annoying if the game decides kits dont clash (when they do). Its very fast and i find it easy to score, havent failed to score yet on my master league(on top setting) having said that i am shipping a fair few at the other end.

Id give it 8 out of 10. Its good, compared to fifa its amazing. Still work to be done though i feel.

    MIne arrived yesterday

At first I wasn't too impressed, but after 7/8 games or so, I started to notice how much better the game seemed to flow, really crisp passing with the better players, and I've already scored some cracking goals.

They haven't added much for the PS2 version, but it definitely plays nicer. Shame a few of the XBox 360 features are missing (diving, sorting the wall), but still a class game

    I’ve played it on both.

Ran perfect online on the 360 for me. Got to remember though your connection might be good but the other person you’re playing might have a standard broadband which slows the game down.

Seems a little jerky to me on the PS3 after I went on it yesterday.

Think I still prefer FIFA though.
