Lads mates were raving about it, so had to download steam, update DirectX, update flash, 2gb download taking ages, £6 for the game. Seems really laggy, and he seems to know what hes doing, but it looks a strange game. Anyone know owt about it that can gives me a heads-up/few pointers
Aye, it is an odd one. It's essentially an open world physics playground. Bit like mine craft, but with nicer graphics, no building, and lots of rockets. Worth £6 but you need to spend a lot of time on there to properly figure it out, and multiplayer is much better as you tend not to get anything done on your own....
You can normally get this for about £1.49 in Steam's (Humble Bundle) 75% off sales. More frequent than the DFS sales.
it appears that they all stick on their gaming headsets, set up a group skype call, then join one of the existing servers and just mess about in a pre-created world. But havent got a scooby doo what the do as the gmod website basically says you dont win and you dont lose. Although not clear whether what you do in one of these worlds has any long term bearing eg does anything you create stay there for next time you go back given that its not your world creation. Decent resources/guides etc seem rather hard to find given it has sold more than 3,000,000 downloads Was hoping i could find a regular player to get some pointers
