Wireless router, I like the Linksys brand but netgear are also good and easy to setup. I also hear good things about D-Link.

Personally, i'd stick to the Linksys (make sure you get a router not access point) or the netgear.

Laptop ... Acer and cheap and reliable. Always done me good, but i'm currently using an NEC from Dabs. Think it was under £400.

[edit : BB provider .... plusnet or blueyonder ... see www.adslguide.org for details. not applicable]

Unless you want to become a serious video gamer this is an excellent laptop for silly money.

Linksys or Netgear router. Netgear better online support if you're stuck, Linksys cheaper as a rule but good, solid stuff nonetheless.

Cable for BB if you can. Otherwise my mate swears by Virgin. I'm on cable so don't really know but prob worth looking at.

Laptop Dell or if you are feeling a bit richer Sony Vio

Roter Netgear ( I had trouble with linksys reliability at work - also netgear easier to set up)

BB virgin seem ok plusnet have good feedback - best is Zen but too pricey really
