    Bought a Samsung 1tb SSD from Scan computing & you can bet that was recorded. BTW Scan are very good but you can never be too careful.

    Never done it. but reading that, it does make sense. as you say. Though I'm not sure I'd spend that sort of money for a purchase online. For a physical object. Had more than enough issues with cheap items.

    Filming the opening would be a good idea.

    I bought a new microphone boom arm from Amazon and when I opened the Amazon box the retail box inside was all battered and re-sealed. The item inside was used, scratched up and a different brand. I did receive a refund but semi-begrudgingly.

    Ye. do this for owt fragile or expensive. learned a lesson from buying a glass shade from Wayfair. 1st one arrived broken. they replaced but we filmed 2nd one being opened.

    Must admit I only buy from Amazon if I cant get the product from another retailer unless the price differential is quite large.

    Usually do a thorough research of seller before buying , especially over twenty quid .
    Make sure they have a long standing account over many years / how many sales, usually thousands and then positive feedback percentages .
    But its still a good idea to record on receipt and one I shall now act upon

    I recently got a few Psp game cartridges at less than £3 each, from Ebay. But one is totally broke and not surprisingly the Ebay seller insists they were all ok when he posted them!.
    It didn't cost much and Im not going to take it any further, but I can definitely see the reasons for filming the opening of a parcel.
