Anyone regularly use Doncaster train station

Thinking of going to london for a theatre break. Faster/cheaper direct from doncaster. but never used the station before. I realise that there is a 500 space car park but wonder if it tends to be full in the day time. If i get to doncaster half hour before my trains leaves and i cant get a space i'm screwed.

Does anyone use the station regularly and know how full the car park gets, or have a phone number that actually gets you through to the station

Get a mate to take you and pick you up is my recommendation. Probably cheaper too.

 

**** load of parking around the station mate, I usually go down to London for the day and use a car park just round the corner (turn left before the station, opposite the medical centre and all sign posted) and it's only £4 for the day, not sure about over night parking etc.

Or just get the train to Donny from Meadowhall instead.

 

Long stay car park at the top of the Frenchgate specifcally for Railway rarely gets compeltley full. You should be fine but it is a decent walk. I'd get there 45 mins beforehand just to be sure or get a lift and get dropped off. Better still, train from TARN to Meadowhall, Meadowall fast train to Donny. No parking then at all then assuming you can get to train station in TARN.

 

I think with 500 spaces you should be ok, are these just for the train passengers though? l parked in front of the station but it was for a 6.00am train, cheap as well for a full day.
