He was a dissapointment to say the least. No goals, his crossing was poor, he struggled to beat his man.

Why is it a given that he's gunna score tonight, or rip us apart as you're lead to believe on here.

If he does then fair play to him, but can't we just wait and see first?

Head firmly on the chopping block now.

People should remember this point when slagging off the likes of Dagnall too. I remember talking to a Blackpool fan in town before we played them that season, they thought it was hilarious we'd signed Hammill, waste of money according to them. Funny how things change.

Spot on but that isn't the Barnsley way.

I know a Blackpool fan too and we had the same conversation. "Not very good, but he might be alright for you". A comment i resented at the time, hinting that 'Pool were some sort of massive side! Suppose she was right, in the end...

Dagnall is not a young lad like Hammill was when he came on loan. Also, I didn't think Hammill was ***** and neither did a lot of other Barnsley fans who were ecstatic when he signed for us instead of Leeds. He improved the longer he was with us but his base level was never ***** - he always had pace and the ability to take a man on. I'll give Dagnall time but up to now I've not seen anything in his game that looks like an assett. The key elements - heading, tackling, dribbling, shooting, pace, passing ability are conspicuous by their absence.
