    Just working my way through 12 DVDs with 8 episodes on each!

    yes Benson was a spin off from soap.
    Soap got wierd with the alien storyline! was funny though at the time

    Yes. Benson was the spin off.

    It was fairly weird quite early on but I am really anticipating the total mayhem of the later episodes from my somewhat limited memories of that era!!
