on ch5 .</p> tell thi a story.hmmmmmm</p> When I was working for UN in Kosovo, me and a mate went to regional kick boxing championships at Pristina stadium.</p> Well a couple of local bouts went off and the crowd necked a few beers and the likes ,cheered, had a laugh and stuff.We even got a young scrote to run outside and get us some batterys for the camera. </p> Then it came to the big fight of the afternoon.</p> A local Albanian lad against a Serb champ, for a place in the European finals.</p> The Local lad got in the ring , big and lanky,reight gangly looking type kid.everyone cheered..weyhey.</p> Then in jumped the Serb, covered in tattoos, short stocky kid, largein it with the crowd(you can imagine how that went down)everyone booooed.</p> *Always remember seeing this large ginger haired lad in the crowd and thinking he should be in scotland/how /when/why..........*</p> Anyway they set about each other and it was pretty even ,the big kid, the Albanian you could tell was a boxer.</p> Out reaching the Serb everytime</p> Blow after blow the Albanian was giving the Serb, but the Serb kept comeing back with a kick to the shin.</p> This went on for ages, blow blow kick, kick , untill the big guy fell to his knees.Far too many shin kicks (must have been agony) </p> Then ref stoped the fight and all hell let loose(sp )</p> The Albanians in the stand I was sat in grabed everything and anything that was at hand and started launching it at the ring.</p> Just infront of the ring was where all the dignitaries were and they were getting pelted with coke cans, bottles, bricks , lumps of concrete from the old run down stadium.</p> Then all of a sudden gun shots, someone was letting off rounds at the back of the stand.</p> People were scattering all over the place, me and the mate just sat there totally stunned.</p> Then at the other end of the ground the big gates burst open, and in rolled three British armed cars and a jeep, They drove around the pitch, pulled up at the bottom of the stand, guys jumped out, run up the terrace, grabed the guy who was letting of the rounds, bunged him in the armed car an drove off. </p> Then everyone went home... </p> Later I spoke to both the boxers in the hotel.</p> The Albanian said that he was infact a boxer and he had never kick boxed before and he didn't know why he was kick boxing in Pristina stadium.</p> The Serb said of his opponent, although he was tall he was weak.http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/images/emoticons/******.gif</p>
