Didn't watch much of it but caught last few laps. Mo just jogging around, had this big German who looked more like his security then a opponent on is outside. Anway got to finishing line to go in to final lap, dipped down and just sprinted like he was doing a 400M sprint.
I've watched most of the athletics today Hemmsy, it was good to see our Mo put on a display for the fans in that last lap wasn't it? Felt a little bit sorry for the other runners really, was clear none of them wanted to race Mo as they knew they wouldn't stand a chance, hence the slow pace - all aiming for a race for second place. Was thinking about going today, we've been up to Gateshead for a few Of the Grand Prix meetings before, it's a cracking stadium for athletics, plus a good night out in Newcastle afterwards.........
Aye, Jess Judd's was the performance of the day (probably the weekend), it's always great to see a young athlete that's obviously been chucked in at the deep end produce such an inspired performance in response. Hopefully it's the start of something for her and not just a one-off.
I watched most of todays athletics and she was my higlight - I dont think anyone expected her to win - 18 year old and put in a performance like that brilliant - made up for the disappointments in pole vault for me Mo is just a different class - and that last lap was quite good but didnt have the element of surprise that Jess Judd had
Good runner for a Somalian that lives in America, but gets all the funding/facility benefits that come from being under the UK banner. That's how you should have put it
