Anyone see Warnock play for Barnsley?

I did and he was the exact opposite of what he is as a manager. A gutless, passionless winger who hid the first time he got a bit of shoe. Amazing how his attitude has changed from being a player.

That's certainly not the Neil Warnock I remember as a player. He use to get plenty of crosses in for Joicey.

I can remember him getting sent off in front of the dug out and not leaving the field for a good 5 minutes. Stuborn bugger even then.

1976-77 Played 63. 13 Goals in all competitions.

    I did

He used to be one of my favourite players when I was a kid. Good right winger.

Liked it when him and Graham Pugh both got sent off in same game, causing lots of aggro and verbals.

I think he lost his place to Graham Felton in the end.

Mind you, if he was playing now I'd probably think he was w@nk, but as an impressionable kid, he was ace.

On the subject of Neil Warnock....

I seem to recall that he was quite a pacy winger with a fair bit of spirit in him! No qualms with regards to his appearances for the Tarn shirt in my opinion. Unlike Graham Felton who could be rather annoying on occasions due to his ad-hoc approach - - mind you, i was aged 12 at the time.

and rated him. Good pace and not afraid to track back if he lost the ball.

Quality comment by Warnock on Soccer Night

Are you glad Wednesday stayed up or wish they went down?

Warnock (looking all magnaminous in the afterglow of promotion) : "Nooo, I would have liked them to go down".

That's why he's good press. Acts & talks like a fan.

And therein lies why I hate both Warnock and Sheff Utd

I've never met an arrogant Sheff Wed fan but I've never met a Sheff Utd fan who isn't arrogant.

You talk some ***** at times .....

... if you've never met an 'arrogant Sheff Weds fan', you've never met one at all. They are ALL fecking arrogant, thats why they ALL think they should be top of the Premiership and in the Champios League, when really they are w*nk and find themselves 'celebrating' the fact that they finished 4th off the bottom of the Championship

    Apologies

Sorry, just saying it as I see it.

I've never had an issue with Wednesday fans which is why they aren't anywhere near my list of disliked teams of Leeds and Sheff Utd.

Agree ES the Blunts have the attitude problem.

Very fickle too,how many made it to Oakwell when Adrian Heath was in charge less than a 1000 i guess.

    Yes

Him & Ally Millar playing wide under Jim Iley. Not as tricky as Millar as I recall but not bad for that level.

    Ali Millar....

Aaah! The free-kick specialist. He seemed quite 'weighty'. I can remember seeing him walking up to Oakwell prior to a home game with his kit in a plastic carrier bag.

I remember Ally Miller playing, but Warnock is before my time

Has Dillinger started his new job? If so, does it offer him tinternet access?
