Threw a load out for standing up. Yet ignored the Bolton lot, who were stood up.
The most over-zealous stewards I've ever seen. My opinion of that club was low anyway, and now I hope they go under.
I'll post my thoughts on the game later.

Did they ask the fans to sit down? If they did then they only have themselves to blame if they got thrown out for ignoring the requests and the terms of their ticket.

Whether it is a silly rule or not, it IS the rule and when you buy a ticket and enter the ground you agree to abide by those rules. If you ignore the rules and ignore the requests of those enforcing the rules then you only have yourself to blame when you're chucked out.

Taking off your shirt is a booking in football. Completely ridiculous rule in my opinion but it is still a rule which players agree to abide by when they step onto the field. If they score a goal and take their shirt off they WILL be booked regardless of how stupid it is.

So what happens then through no fault of your own you are physically unable to sit in your seat?

i'm sure clubs could assist in that if genuine, without impeding other people who have also paid and agree to abide by rules

could you give me an example of when that would be the case? If it was through a disability then there are disabled stands and areas for that exact thing but I assume you mean for another reason?

A cold Tuesday evening in Burnley with those wooden seats in the away end wouldn't be too comfortable if you had piles.

Given that stadia these day ram seats in that tight there is minimum space between you and the seat in front.

That is a very good point deetee and something i've experienced myself. Have you ever spoke to a steward about that when you've not been able to fit?

Sitting down at footbsll has killed the atmosphere. We were standing up to sing and try to create done atmosphere! The Bolton fans were stood up so why weren't they chucked out ey?
