I've just seen them on FB - the timeline and displays on some of our greatest players on pillars look brilliant. I've read lots on here over the last couple of days about how the owners are 'obviously' only in it for the money and will strip the club of it's assets just to make money that they can withdraw (I'm paraphrasing). If that was the case I don't know why we'd have bought Dougall and Woodrow in particular (we'll see on Green and Simoes) These photos seem to indicate that's not the case as well don't they? Why would they spend anything on things like this if the aim was just to maximise the cash they can withdraw? I think we should all hold our nerve, wait to see what happens between now and the window closing and make a judgement then.
Reds in the Community has developed the displays in the East Stand Concourse. The project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Supporters have worked with Reds in the Community on the development of the displays.
Well i think to be fair these new owners are total crap on the communication front. From the beginning the press conference was a shambles and other than storys and gissiow on here from away trips seeing Paul conway they have said nothing on the official front in over a year. Rather have a gob ***** like dave whelan than a trappist monk in charge.
Pics of the East Stand display and opening are listed below on Reds in the Community Twitter and Facebook. https://m.facebook.com/RedsintheCommunity/
Looks good, just need the other level in now so you don't see the grey concrete beams above you and the back closed up. They've made enough money to do it.
They've made a late push to make sure it was finished before Brexit and didn't come last in my poll. Looks fantastic. I only have one small issue regarding the design but other than that it looks amazing.
I was there yesterday for the unveiling. It looks great and a lot of time, effort and planning went into it by loads of volunteers.
