RE: No Not stayed there (it wasn't built last time I was in LV) but its very small (by Vegas hotel standards) and its location isn't the best (slightly off-strip). Some friends of mine went to check it out at Christmas and they weren't exactly raving about it. I must admit I can't quite see the point. The main appeal of the Hooters brand is scantily clad staff, but just about every hotel in Vegas has this to some extent (the Rio being a particularly good example) so its kind of old-hat in that town. You're probably better off looking for something more central. There's plenty of choice from the extortionate (e.g. Venetian, Bellagio) to dirt cheap (e.g. Imperial Palace) which are in the central Strip, although be aware that there's a lot of construction work taking place around that area at present, particularly at Aladdin, which is currently being re-branded as a Planet Hollywood hotel. I stayed at the Mirage on my last trip which was surprisingly good value at the time (although prices vary massively depending on conventions, sporting events, etc). We got 7 nights there with direct flights with Virgin (a big plus if you can get them - also try BMI from Manchester) for about £700pp.
Been there when on detachment Nice ladies in the restaurant, never been in hotel and it is a walk off the strip. Get thy sen to the monte carlo hotel, has it's own micro-brewery, we hit it every night first thing before caining the strip!! (nodding2fingers)
RE: No I have stayed at Mandalay Bay, Flamingo and Hard Rock just thought a smaller place might be more relaxing place to return to on an evening.
