He's either a miracle worker or a serial blood doper to get that level of performance out of those players.
Players are playing with more confidence since the late Bornmuff disaster. Strange that last season as well, when the manager has fewer players to choose from through injuries and his hand is forced somewhat that the players given opportunities step up to the plate.
Agree. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the lack of opportunities for Rose/RNL etc. But we know from experience if they're good enough they'll be played. Kelvin was very very good.
The thing that is probably going to count against us is the length of time it took to get his own men in,that kLooks like it may count against us.all I will say is if he had been here all season we would,t have been in this mess.
Rose couldn`t have shown less than Prossy did yesterday. The lads at the back came into the team knowing unless Danny fetched anyone in that they were going to get a run of games and it shows but having said that no one with pace has really tested them yet.
Likewise Mvoto for all the flack he had on here he received. Outstanding yesterday, man mountain dominated in the air and defended well. Also couldn't understand stick he recieved for lack of pace, IMHO he's no slug and held his own against pace of forwards yesterday
Re: he's brought psychologist into the club Or maybe getting rid of Mellon and Wilcox has broke the Rochdale and Bury connections a little more and helped rid the dressing room of the divisions that were forming, which probably explains why Mellis has disappeared completely.
I never doubted Wilson's ability to turn us around. But that doesn't make me a better fan, I just happen to have a lot of faith in the man and believe he's a very good manager. But you shouldn't be ashamed if you haven't, there's nothing wrong in believing we should have gone for someone else. I haven't been happy with some of the criticism he has received, so soon in to his tenure after taking over a poor team in a terrible situation, but that's a different argument. However, things aren't suddenly rosy, we're still in dire straights. Maybe this is the dramatic turnaround we all craved, but it could have come too late. Our destiny is not in our own hands, we still have to rely on the poor form of others. Or maybe this isn't a dramatic turnaround at all, merely a flash in the pan, and performances could revert back to what we've seen for the majority of the season. Whichever league we end up in next season, and League 1 still looks favourite, I believe we've got the right manager to do an excellent job. Judging by the performances and results over the last few games, we might have the squad too. We looked a long way short in that department just a few weeks ago. Good managers don't just sign good players, they can make average players look very good indeed. We saw that in the mid 90s and we're starting to see it again.
Agree about Rose, would have sooner had him than Tompole up top, cos Cog does love to pull left, which leave a big hole in the middle at times...As for RNL, not held a place under 5 managers now...so whats that tell ya.
Thereev can confirm that anyone who thinks Hill, Flitcroft, Mellon were better than King Danny is a complete numpty who needs to change the sport they watch. Unless they watch a different game than the ones seen from West Stand Lower. Hopethishelps
