Honest straight forward decision really.Just because he's French........now if he was German I might be saying different
Some are saying they should have been put in to pot two which would have meant them getting a very tough group. So some again are saying they are doing this pre draw to try and help France. Why would it be helping the french? well they are one of lowest ranked team in the pot 4 and only just made it via a play off. Now this isn't me, it's been in the press and even the FIFA president answer a question on it.
Why do you think that ? I know I am getting on a bit, but I cannot see from that link, why you think France maybe protected ?
"What happens when draws go wrong? Anyone yawning their way through Fifa's long winded and complicated explanation of their draw procedure would do well to have a look back to the 1982 World Cup. In Spain, Chile and Peru were supposed to be kept apart from fellow South Americans Argentina and Brazil but the officials forgot to leave their balls out. " I've never forgot to leave my balls out. On the other hand, I have forgot that they were out plenty of times. Potentially disastrous either way I suppose.
POT 1 All the seeded teams as of October 2013. POT 2 AFRICA AND SOUTH AMERICA POT 3 ASIA,CENTRAL AMERICA CARIBEAN POT 4 EUROPE. So No they couldnt have gone in POT 2 as there European not African/South American
Theres only 7 in pot two and 9 in pot 4 RedArmy. They are doing a pre draw tomorrow with apparently three rehearsals. Some are saying they should just put France in Pot two. This would have given the French a really hard group....
seen that H. When I read the other day the said they wouldnt move anyone, but now it seems that has altered. Its the World cup, all the teams there are prity good so it wont make a difference,
I'm not the one saying this. Listening to a few journo's and it's something they said and it was even discussed by the President and hes got a lot of power within FIFA
It's not my argument, i'm just posting on here whats been said in the world of football over the last 36 hours or so. I'm not the best at putting the argument of these journo's forward especially via a keyboard when all some want to do is have a ago at me.
I know where you are coming from Hemmsy, but more often these days, your debates / opinions are balanced. Will be interesting to see how the groups unfold. I'm not too bothered really, cos England will be home before QF's.
I was trying to help H. And knew what you meant, although not been in UK I havent heard what journos have been saying. The US sports journos think the draws a load of crap how its done. Mind you they probably want a draft system here LOL
