Anyone travelling to the Huddersfield match from Manchester?

I'm on a training course in Oldham on the day of the match, and if anyone is travelling from Manchester, would they be willing to give me a lift, for a reasonable sum of petrol money? Or are they travelling by another mode of transport that will get them back to Manchester at a reasonable time?

    Thanks.

What time does the course in Oldham finish? Im travelling from Warrington, and can give you a lift, but it will be leaving at around 4.30.......

5:30, I'm afraid. Is that too late?

Dan, I'm a Hudds fan living in Warrington and was thinking off setting off much later than 4.30. How long does it take you to get to barnsley from Warrington?

If you set off at 5.30 then you'll hit all the M62 traffic, then the M1. I do it everyday and I get home at about 7.00ish every night.

Coupled with the traffic around Barnsley on match night and having to park I would recommend leaving earlier.

Better to be safe than sorry.....

    Im afraid so.

I'd be looking to get a train if I were you - I dont believe its possible to get into Oldham for 5.30, get out of the centre and then make it back through the M62/M1 and Barnsley to get at the game for 7.45 !!

You could always nip into Oldham

pick him up, then bob down the A62 towards Hudds, cut across south Hudds via Marsden / Holmfirth / Denby Dale / Cawthorne.

Won't take much more than an hour, avoiding the M62/M1. Much shorter route, saves petrol and you'll get some petrol money from your passenger.

Go on - be a white knight.
