Well, I saw this thread so put it on, and admittedly only watched it for a few seconds but it looked really depressing and death was everywhere (well, the flower and the old man). Tony.
If you want a great mixture of comedy and drama try.... The film "In Bruges" - two Irish killers are sent to Bruges to hide for a while. The scenery is stunning of course but the comedy is brilliant. It's a very dark film as well, given the subject matter, and the language is just a bit ripe. Recommended though.
Grandson : "Was the 1966 World Cup Final the greatest match ever, Granddad?" Granddad : "No lad. 1914 during the First World War, Christmas Eve at Flanders. The soldiers got up out of the trenches, exchanged gifts and played football together" Grandson : "Who won, Granddad?" Granddad : "We all did lad, we all did".
Not an avid tele watcher but this is brilliant Watched both episodes and they are great. Incidently if anybody needs to catch up they are both on BBC I Player.
The final scene between Coogan & Hill. Strongest bit of drama I think I've ever seen. Just brilliant. 'Help me dad...'</p>
