Man Utd had done everything but score...as the commentators said just before the penalty (when there'd been a scramble in the Pompey goalmouth), that Portsmouth's name could be on it. Well - after ours that is!

Looks like we'll need to win it now to qualify for Europe!

I don't think any reason was given. He was subbed at half time

I cant see why they are saying the sending off was harsh though, he'd rounded the keeper and was brought down, simple red card.

I'd be appealing for it though.

But an outfield player wouldn't be sent off in that situation.

not when he was fouled there wasnt
