Agree completely. I thought Colgan had a good game. The fact we're tactically inept and have a woeful back four is the reason we lost.

I think we played a sort of headless chicken formation today. The back four could not deal with high balls into the box/centre of the field, plus no one semed to know what their job was. Midfield where the f*ck were you too.

The onus is on the management team/coaching staff to sort this out. I'm afraid they'll probably be found wanting IMHO.

Its sickening. This was supposed to be an improvement on last year. Its actually worse.

Fingers crossed the new players will gel sharpish. If not, BYE BYE Championship :(

There were times when he looked to throw the ball out of his area but everyone had turned their back on him.

Colgan.........

is the one player in the team that splits opinion the most it would seem. Everyone is entitled to their opinion be it for or against Nick. However now the manager as the perfect excuse to drop him and make him the scapegoat for yesterday.

Pencil me in as partially retarded

Not saying Colgan was totally to blame but he WAS to blame to some degree
It was obvious against Rotherham that we had a problem when it came to crosses
Rotherham bombarded us for 15 minutes and could have had 4 goals in that time
Obviously Coventry have better forwards than Rotherham

Like some have said, it could have been worse if it wasn't for Colgan
I see it differently - Colgan sticks to his line and because of this we were 0-1 and then 1-2 down
Coventry got more and more confident and consequently broke through on goal a couple of times and Colgan saved the shots
No one is taking that away from him - he is probably the best shot stopper in the division
BUT
He dosen't command his own area - hence easy goals for Coventry yesterday and from this they built their confidence to try and score more

And no, I'm not saying this because we have a new goalkeeper in the wings, I along with many others have been saying this for seasons now

So pencil me in as partially retarded, with all the rest that have pointed this out

The Coventry keep came for every thing

may have looked like we were putting corners into his lap but he came out to claim the ball and got it.Its called commanding your area not staying on the line then saying nowt to do with me when the ball comes flying past you.Watch Peter Cech comand his area this afternoon.

RE: Pencil me in as partially retarded

How was the first goal his fault?

It was appalling defending from a set piece , Colgan had no chance to get the ball , and he quite rightly shouldnt have expected Cov to get a free header from such a position.

Secondly isnt it the full backs job to stop crosses being put in? I feel sorry for Colgan he gets so much stick because the defence in front of him is at best average!

I should imagine that he can't wait to get away, judging by the stick he gets on here. nt
