Is Moore giving penalties away because he's too slow?

I'm guessing its not because he's lightning quick and keeps getting to the ball first...

Only kidding. I was wondering that too.

I went to Crewe, I wouldn't say it was because he was too slow. I think he just goes in for the tackle too early rather than letting them run with the ball and just close them down.

Kozluk on the otherhand was because he was too slow.

Jumped in like an idiot at QPR and the corner which led to their second was given away casue he was too slow. Didn't go to Crewe.
I think he's a liability to be honest and needs dropping

He looks like he's running through treacle at times he's so slow. Every action looks lethargic. He's strong (ish) in the air and had decent spells but the penalty at Crewe was as a result of his slow judgment rather than speed, just miss timed it and his strength was a little too generous. He doesn't look comfortable and I honestly clench every time I see a through ball or a ball over the top of him. Souza and Foster were the only one's looking strong at the back, and even they had worrying spells.

I think the 5-3-2 has to take some flack for the lack of defence too though. There were times when Hume and Disco were the first running back.

Kozlucks penalty was slow, lazy and stupid: like his performance on the night, and the many of his games.

I think the other thing with Darren Moore is he is built like a tank, so anyone who runs into him is going to bounce straight off and onto the floor, getting either a free kick or a penalty. I'm not 100% convinced the 1st one was a pen to be honest, he shoulder barged him out of the way and the Crewe player fell on the floor. We didn't play great, but neither did they. Thy on;y won because of the 2 pens they had (obviously!), but they didn't do anything else in the game. The ref was awful, didn't seem to know the rules, he gave us a goal kick when the ball went behind off Mackens head and he was standing watching, diallowed a goal because of a foul and booked either Steele or Moore for what I am sure nobody knows. It was disappointing, but it's only the start of the season, there's a long way to go yet. Hopefully we can turn things around against Cov at the weekend!

I didn't see that, I was abit far away. From where I was it just looked like he fell down, but if he tripped him, thaen that was just silly!

    Mmm Moore a liability???

Yet Nyatanga who gave away how many goals would be a good signing.

He disallowed goal because linesman gave Mostto offside in the build up which meant we didn't have an advantage so he took it back for the free kick.

Can I point one thing out?

I was in the Crewe end.
The Moore penalty was 20 yards away from me.
Pope toe poked it out of play, realised he wasn't going to get to it ... and fell over like he'd been shot.

Kozluk, on the other hand, is a full time Deaconoid.

That's more than one thing I've pointed out.

I also was at crewe unfortunatly. Moore was unfortunate.. I like the lad i think he brings a good presence in defence. wins a lot of headers, looks like he could score goals for us in corners and freekicks and always gets stuck in. A defender will always pick up cards and give away freekicks., but i do worry about him in our own box, think he needs to mark players other than throw himself in, but otherwise there isnt a player i would put in front of him.......atm

Whilst he did jump against QPR the whole thing came about as a result of the left side of our defence being yet again cruelly exposed. Moore was playing right centre back but the tackle was over the other side of the penalty area. Where were Souza and the abysmal Van Homoet?

I wasn't at Crewe but I do know that a better team up front than QPR had out on Saturday would have won more handsomely. When will we ever build a proper defensive unit, Simon?

Yes, the same Nyatanga who was being kept out of the Derby side by Moore.

No , thats not been forgotten or the fact

thats it was his half arsed clearance that gave them their second goal as well.
Big pudding, all I can say about him. The soldier on top of the cenotaph would beat him in a foot race over 50 yards. (N)

Yes he was to blame at QPR, badly mistimed tackle.
Otherwise he had a steady game. And bossed the defence
Maybe with his presence we should be looking at a pacy partner for him.

    Just a thought!
