After seeing the last leg last night I think it would be great to setup a website where people of Barnsley could offer their time, skills or even tools or equipment free of charge to others in Barnsley who are in need of help and likewise anyone in genuine need of help can ask for it.

    LegUpBarnsley.com possibly?

I was thinking of something a bit more advanced where users could contact each other through the site to arrange help. I know there are lots of simple ways to do it like a message board or forum but was wondering how easy it would be to setup something a little more tailored

there's not much you can't do through wordpress now, with the vast array of plugins out there. think of it like a mobile operating system and apps through an appstore. but like mobile apps, there are very good ones and really bad ones. there's research involved, finding the right ones for you. hosting is also very important. cheapest isn't always best.
