absolutey! i listen to Sturrock given an interview after last game of season and said how he was looking forward to getting transfer targets in early and ready for pre-season, something he wasnt able to do last season cos he didnt know what league they would be in and lost out on a lot of players. not often i agree with anything that comes out of wednesday but its true! In saying that i so looking forward to cardiff its untrue.

Yep

we will obviously not be making any decisions about the current squad or any new signings untill we know which div we are in next season hopefully because its not too long if we have made our interest known to possible signings they will hold off untill after next week

On plus side

more chance that a trip to Cardiff will be enough to convince a few to re sign. I've seen enough this season to know we dont need wholesale changes next season, regardless of what league we end up in, the most important signings for us are the lads we've already got.

Just like Wembley

If we lose, certain players will go (especially McPhail, Shuker & Colgan). Its another pivotal point in our history.

Shuker - probably

McPhail - maybe
Colgan - doubt it. if he does, Flinders wont.

the nucleus of Kay, Hassell, Hayes, Howard, Devaney and Reid need signing on longer contracts. Austin, Richards, Heckinbottom and others have made important contributions this season. worst case scenario, we lose McPhail, we hold onto everyone else....and maybe find a goalscorer.

To be honest I dont think Shuker would be a great loss

If he could cross he would be but I dont think he is irreplacable - I thought we looked better without him on Monday.

McPhail would be more of a problem. Colgan would be OK to go as long as flinders stays

If we lost McPhail

I'd be gutted. but I'm impressed by Howard since he went into the middle, and it would give him greater freedom if we brought in a replacement for Burns (!!) instead. an experienced pro like Flitcroft from Blunts would be ideal, and I reck he's on about the same money as Macca.
