The silence of the top men at Oakwell is deafening, Hill and flitcroft have become convenient human shields for messers Cryne, Rowing and Taylor. They take all the flack for the state the club / team is in which is partly Hills fault for bigging himself up and the three wise monkeys at the top get away with fiddling while Rome spontaneously combusts. The choice for Cryne is simple either let Hill spend the shackle money and or get some new investment in either from yourself or from an outsider or come clean and tell the fans that this is it and we can all then get ready for league one and either put up with the situation or cut our ties with the club and find something else to spend our hard earned cash on. If we are to stick to the only spend what you earn policy please tell us exactly what that means for the club is there money for the manager to spend or not. Because if we have to accept that the club have accepted we are unable to compete at this level from now on at least if the fans are aware of this they will perhaps be more tolerant of the inept performances of the team and the managers comments after them.
The Shackell money is there to kep the club running all season I think. Don't expect it to be spent anytime soon. I agree with the club being a bit more honest about the cash situation though.
Patrick Cryne shouldn't need any form of shield, without him its likely we wouldn't have a club(and certainly not a Championship Club),anyone wishing to blame or berate PC is brain-dead IMO.It's possible PC would like someone to invest, but the right kind of investors are not easy to find in a town our size, and whatever anyone says I'm sure he has the best interests of this club at heart, unlike some of the boo boys who I get the impression would like to see Hill fail just to prove them right.
