I have made a decision tonight to remove my videos from Youtube. I didn't want to simply take them away and not really say anything to anyone, so I thought I'd leave this message. Firstly, let me make it very clear - nobody has requested that I remove my videos, or has taken any action to prevent me from broadcasting the content that I put out on Youtube (by even leaving a negative comment as such). The club have never said anything to me about the videos (nor did I ever expect them to), although I have always been curious as to what the club thought because someone at Oakwell must have seen them. Making the videos was enjoyable, sharing them with everyone was tremendous. Youtube is an amazing thing, it really is. I have been contacted by some smashing individuals who have said some really lovely things. I hope you enjoyed the videos and that I haven't cause too much disappointment in removing them. The oldest one was up for six weeks, most of them not more than a month, but they were a bit of fun while they lasted. In my mind, it is now time to take them down. I hope you don't feel too critical of me for doing this, I'm sure it won't be a very popular decision, but at least we all enjoyed reliving the fond memories (and for some youngsters, I'm sure it was an education of sorts). A big, big thank you to all those people who made contributions with materials, suggestions or memories. This board is actually packed with some very generous and kind hearted individuals, and when we keep it positive, it is a great place to be. Cheers,
great videos makes you realise what a talented team we had in the premiership ,pulled a few big teams out of the comfort zone!
Hmm. I'll draw my own conclusions about that. This smells of private threats. It wouldn't be the first time.

RE: Hmm. I'll draw my own conclusions about that. No, not at all. There is no conspiracy, no threats or anything like. It has simply gotten to a level that I'm not comfortable looking after. There was twenty-two videos on, and 1500 people had watched the Redfearn video and some of the others weren't far off that. It's a bit much for a simple amatuer project. I had three choices really - just keep on what I had and do no more, keep on making videos and keep expanding the site, or take the videos down. In all honesty the thing that makes me feel most comfortable is just taking the videos down, but it's not motivated by anyone applying any pressure or even asking me to do so. It's just my choice. It's a real shame if it disappoints anyone - I'd feel bad about that.
RE: A crying shame. Anychance you'd be able to produce some BRF DVDs? nt Sorry mate. I wouldn't be entitled to distribute any of the footage or the music I used, so I'm afraid not. I wish I could - I'd love to, but this is what I'm saying, there is clearly a demand there, I just can't fill that gap. Sorry - I'm glad you enjoyed them though - it was fun wasn't it?
Shame mate, I was hoping to view them at leisure whenever I needed cheering up BFC wise, which lets's face it is most weeks Cheers though, some great stuff there.
RE: A crying shame. Anychance you'd be able to produce some BRF DVDs? nt No worries mate. I'll have to get myself a decent DVD editing program and knock together a few myself. There is a demand there, it just needs someone with plenty of time on their hands to make it happen. It's same with the t-shirts thing with my barnsleytees spreadshirt site. I'd love to expand, get the message out to a wider audience, create innovative designs, spread the word of "BARNSLEY" across the country and see the shirts being sold at the club shop benefitting the club. But I haven't got the time.
boooo At the end of the day its up to you, they will be missed. Good job I watched part 4 before you took them off, watched most of them more than once and got goose bumps every time. Thanks for the memories
thats silly mate - they are quality and im sure theres tons of people not seen them yet ive not seen them all for a start and i was in the process of showing them to other people. What harm would it be to say thats that - im not doing any more and just leave them up there for posterity. I feel you dont have time to keep doing them and dont want to have to turn people down but they will understand im sure. Taking the ones already done and throwing all that hard work, time and enjoyment down the toilet is plain daft. If you dont change your mind then fair enough but im asking you to reconsider. They are wicked and ive well enjoyed watching them and im sure id like to watch them again and again when i feel a bit of nostaligia coming on. Get them back up mate. They are hurting nothing - only giving joy to people. Dont throw all your hard waork away.
same ere been only 16 these vidoes wer showing me what barnskey fc was like b4 i strted watching them + i was going to show ppl my age hu r also barnsley fans what they were like, the vidoes wer quality and it wud b great to c them bak on u tube
Thanks for refreshing the memories! Though I'd not got round to watching the final part of the Premier season. I read your comment about the number of views and reason for taking down, is there a maximum number of views you can have on youtube for a video before you have to pay for an account or something?
I see. You took them down because nobody asked you to.

It's ok, we won't press you for the truth.

Some of us are aware of how they go about things down at the Well.
