Apologies...

For moaning on and on (and on) about being dropped from Barnsley Player commentary at the end of last season.

I was very bitter and resentful towards the club for a long time, but (helped by friends and family) I've realised that I've spent too long dwelling on it and need to move on.

It was a big part of my life - but I don't want to miss out on a potentially bright future down at Oakwell due to my stubbornness.
The fact we're steaming on like a juggernaut at the moment is purely coincidental

I really enjoyed your (and Adam's) commentary and I think whatever the club have done well this season they dropped a huge bollock getting rid and replacing you with Radio Sheffield.

But then it's played a part in me attending more games so swings and roundabouts

 

Ta Jamo. Haven't posted for praise, although it is great to be appreciated. Just thought I'd let folk know it's out of my system and I can concentrate on getting behind the team I love again.

 

Because I'm thi mate, I know how much all this has affected you. I'm not going to go into that because it's not my place. But I am seriously chuffed you're moving on because I want my mate back. And I'm looking forward to you singing and commentating for us on the journey down.

You've said it all there; I never listened to the Barnsley Player commentaries as I attend the matches but the bits I've heard on Youtube showed your commitment (and Adam's) to the club and in my view you were both unfairly treated. We all handle things like this differently, Adam chose to to stay quietly in the background while you chose to go in all guns blazing, for which I don't blame you one bit.

Your friends know that you are a top bloke, the proverbial gentle giant and that you were understandably deeply hurt and upset by the events and I fully understand why you reacted as you did; I'm pretty certain I would have done the same had it been me.

However, I'm really pleased that you seem to be moving on and I look forward to seeing you in the West stand again soon.

Yours was a very salient post from a very brave man...

Sorry Andy, I don't know you other than reading your posts and your blog, but we have a mutual friend in Matt and I think it's great that he's putting things behind him and moving on. Plus you've got more hair than me so I shouldn't really comment...
