Players strolling around knowing they weren't going off because our clueless manager didn't bother warming any subs up. He completely gave up and was walking around head down with his hands in his pockets for half an hour. One win in nine. Absolute joke and yet apparently people think he's the second coming of Christ
No ones said he's the 2nd coming. Hard to work with players who don't give a toss and know they won't be here next season and defenders impersonating statues
One man should be out of a job tonight but he's still got his tongue up Neerav's ass. In fact make that two, so should Connor.
6 points from the last 10 games. If his name wasn't Conor Hourihane he'd be getting slaughtered on here.
The decision to sack Clarke is just more and more bizarre by the week. It's costing the club significant money to pay him off and his successor is producing much worse.
Not wrong though is he? Those above Connor should hang their heads in shame. Mladen just meanders from one disaster to the next and stays in a job. It's just not right. Clarke should not have been sacked.
. If You think this situation is bizarre, then I guess the sacking of Collins completely bamboozled you lol
This hatred clearly runs deep. He should, and will, be judged next season when he’s had a pre season and our squad looks completely different.
He playing the way he wants to, however we're going to need 12-15 new players to play that system along with backups.
exactly! no idea why folk expected anything else given the players have been pretty much absent all season and by now also have a pretty good idea who is going to be out on their arse in a week or so! Also think there will be a bit of humble pie to be eaten by some of the above come the new season re CH, but hey its just my opinion!
I'll cut him a little slack (for now) but he didn't help himself with the Connell substitution. I've not been his biggest fan this season but I thought he was having one of his better games and to replace him with Nwakali was Clarkesque and made the team weaker.
You say hatred but the reality is that Conor Hourihane is a man I admire more than most footballers. When he signed (as a player) he was a great talent who could pass and shoot better than anyone but so lazy in his all round play. Many players have settled for that and as a result had a mediocre career where they are remembered for their occasional top corner efforts but have never really pushed on. Conor was different. He got his head down and worked hard on the weak areas of his game. He grafted and learnt to track back, do the dirty work, make tackles and be an all round top quality player and as a result he had a career at the top level. That is something I respect massively. When a player leaves us I always try to say that I hope they have the career that their effort deserves. That's exactly what he did. So no I don't hate him at all. I respect him more than I respect most players But then there's the way he joined us. I don't know if it's a mistrust of the club but I firmly believe there was a lot of deliberate misleading behaviour from the club and or Hourihane. I think that has continued right up to the timing of the announcement of his permanent position the other week so maybe that's clouding my judgement a little bit but it just doesn't sit right with me. He was absolutely excellent player for us but in his trial period as caretaker manager he was an abject failure with the team regularly booed off. Somehow the higher ups decided that he deserved the permanent job off the back of one win in 6 was it? And he's now continued that poor form into his 9th game still with only one win. Is it hatred to point out that is a really poor record with the same players that Clarke had won 3 out of 5 with? I don't think so personally. I think it is more fear. I'm scared that a club who is losing money hand over first and needs to get out of this division has made a huge mistake and appointed a manager who has actually made our poor team worse simply because he was a good footballer. I'm scared that it's a massive decision that they've got wrong when the clubs future is on a knife edge.
I think we all know that if Conor wasn’t Conor he would be getting pelters - (though he is getting a Fair number!). Discussing his future is a wholly pointless exercise mind. He IS here and will be in the dugout next season. So it might be more helpful to focus on those things at the Club that might need a little ‘tweaking’ before the start of next season. Things like, oh I don’t know, the playing staff, the coaching staff, the Recruitment Team, the overall direction of the Club. That should be enough for starters.
