Are all set to be unveiled at Oakwell later this week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A54956947 Some guy from 606 seem's to be in the know and Davey has said himself today that he's close with 2/3 signings. Hmmm (dunno), the first 2 i'd be well chuffed about, it's the Andranik one that's worrying me. Would much rather see Charlie Adam signed.
yes of course , but you seem to miss my point him and Andranik were with us a good deal last season, a lot were under the impression of those signing, PLUS new ones
I must be one of the very few people who actually liked Andranik. I don't think we really saw the best of him at all and that there is much more to come from him. He's obviously very talented and highly thought of. I agree, we need a more attacking midfielder, as opposed to defensive, but Andranik obviously appears to be capable of playing in a variety of positions. Let's be positive and see how it all pans out. I for one would not turn him down. He's a good, proven player at this level and Premiership level.
RE: yes of course , but you seem to miss my point Davey said he only wanted about 4/5 signings this summer. He's made it clear his top 2 targets are Hammill and Gray, the Adam deal could still be in the pipeline and i'd expect a CB to sign. Darren Ward, Jason Shackell, and Neil Collins have all been made available by Wolves - either one of those would be ideal. Didn't expect Andranik to be coming back though after the Penalty incident Vs. Forest and he apparantly chose not to come off the bench with 10 minutes to go at Plymouth - do we need that type of calibre of a player in the dressing room? The jury's out from me on that one i'm afraid.
I'm with you tinatyke .I think Andranik would be a very good signing for us.A lot of people on here class him as a defensive midfielder but apart from the odd away performance where we stiffled midfield I thought he was very attacking minded player linking up with the front two.
i wouldn,t be disapointed with andranik the blokes got a lot of ability obviously his attitude needs to get better, personally i think he,s more of an attacking player than defensive.
He's a good player, I've always thought so and can't understand the stick he's getting. If Davey thought he couldn't handle him or that he was a bad influence in the dressing room, then I am positive he wouldn't be going for him and bringing him into the club where we are led to believe the spirit is good and the camaraderie is second to none.
I agree with you two... his performances last season need to be based on Davey's negative tactics. If Davey is going to be true to his word and play 4-4-2, then he can't be anything other than a positive signing in my opinion.
RE: yes of course , but you seem to miss my point Will Haining on a 12 month contract would be good now he's a free agent.
only going on what i saw scotty and he looks to have a lot of ability going forward to say he,s a defensive player!
I agree with you 3 I'm a long-time admirer of Andranik Teymourian from back in his Bolton days. We all know his performances for us last season weren't up to the standard we expect of him, but I too think signing him would be as big a coup as Anderson was, if not even more so. This guy really does have talent, even if his temperament is lacking. As for the attacking side of his game, well i'm more than certain he can be a force, more-so than defensively tbh. I remember seeing him play in a league cup game for Bolton, and in that game he scored at least 2, but i'm thinking it was a hattrick. He's certainly more creative than ADS, but having both in the middle of the park in a 442 with JCR and Hammill on either flank is a mouthwatering prospect.
I'd still be very surprised to see him here though.

i thought he looked like he had promise but also had a very suspect temperament. Having said that, I don't rate Anderson.
Andranik = pants & no better than what we have already might as well have the misery that is butterfield in midfield.
