A Mr. Rodney Walker is looking to invest into us; Hes is the owner of the Wakefield Wildcats and used to own Leicester City. Hes good mates with Patrick Cryne, only early days but not a bad thing eh? This is from the 606 boards. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A52010164
Makes you think though, with the cheerleaders coming for the Forest and Wolves game, maybe just a coincidence but you never know.
Its Sir Rodeny Walker not Mr And he lives in woolley. Was chairman the sports council and heavily involved in the wembley project Also chairman of World professional Snooker and Billiard Association Vice persident of theRugby League And still president of Leicester City
RE: Its Sir Rodeny Walker , is he minted ? nt got a great big **** off house over looking Wooley Golf Course, and Chairman of loads of companies. not short of a bob or two but minted your guess is as good as mine, but i suspect he has got more than me
Sir Rodney would be the perfect foil for Mr Cryne A man who knows the game inside out and is extremely well connected throughout the sporting world.
Would be someone Mr Cryne could put in charge of the club and take the back seat he craves, knowing it was in safe hands.
I really hope there's some substance to this.

RE: Sir Rodney would be the perfect foil for Mr Cryne the stumbling block here is that he is still associated with leicester city
RE: Sir Rodney would be the perfect foil for Mr Cryne Aye, fair point. Don't know if he still has money invested in em though - if he just has a nominal position would that matter?
RE: Sir Rodney would be the perfect foil for Mr Cryne couldnt tell you, the other thhing is I know he very pally with some guy on the board at ipswich
RE: Sir Rodney would be the perfect foil for Mr Cryne I think that's one of the reasons he could be a major asset for us - he's got contacts everywhere.
Exactly the sort of person Mr Cryne has been looking for.

He's an honorary life member of Leicester City Not a director nor does he appear to hold any other official position. He was chairman until of leicester from 1997 until 2002 when they went into administration Doubt there is any substance to it...is he from wakey?
I used to work with Rodney Walker he runs some very successful businesses and is well respected throughout thebusiness world, however he's another Ridsdale and always fronts investments using other peoples money. He will not put any of hisown money into a football club. He will be more than happy to take acut as chairman or director. He was fundemental in securing the sky contract for the rugby league when he was involved with them in the early 90's. A nice bloke with plenty of passion for what ever he does, however he's got his fingers in that many pies that I do not know how much commitment he could give to the reds.
