5 on the pitch at the same time is the limit apparently.

A Weds. fan has posted this on the 606 forum:

"Yes, we broke the rule. I posted the possible risk of this on Thursday but clearly the powers that be at S6 dont read chat rooms or know the rules.
After the Leeds case, the FA stated that any future cases will result in a three point deduction and possibly the replaying of the match if any points were gained.
It was accepted that Leeds made a genuine mistake but all clubs were warned in writing of the consequences of breaking this rule. It has been the talk of the workplace for the last two days so how could we mess up big style."

    And one of them scored

It's a bit desperate I know but I'd have no qualms about staying up because they got docked points. Rules are rules, and all that.

£2,000 fine, so much for the points deduction we were hoping for!

    Maybe they were only fined

Because they lost the game anyway, they didn't actually gain an advantage in breaking the rules whereas Sheffield Wednesday did

    All clubs were warned...

...that the penalty would be a 3 point deduction in future.

any further infractions of the rule will result in points deduction after FA wrote to all clubs to remind them of rule.

But also said that it was playing 6 loanees on longer than one months loans.

It's all too confusing - nearly as bad as the new interpretation of the offside rule.

When is a loan player not a loan player - does he have to interfere with play?

probably something stupid like the 4th loan player was inactive during the stoke goal so it doesn't count

The 5 loanees rule doesnt differentiate between long and short term though

See relevent section posted above in this thread

One of them scored the equalising goal - surely they should at least have 1 point deducted
